Merida eOne Sixty 900 is an aggressive trail riding bike that is designed for the Enduro rider who loves the thrill of more aggressive trails and descents. Featuring trail specific geometry to the trails and fully equipped with Shimano’s latest components, this bike is truly the ultimate weapon. All Merida frames are guaranteed with a LIFETIME WARRANTY to be free from material or manufacturing defects for the entire ownership for the original owner. The frame itself is a hydroformed, prolite 66 triple butted frame with internal cabling and smooth welds to continue on in the seamless and smooth prestige the eOne Sixty has accumulated.
The 900e proudly houses a Fox 36 Float Factory Float 27.5”+ Boost fork coated in kashima for the ultimate performance and weight considerations. The rear shock is matched in its level with the Fox Float X2. The descents are basically in your hands The shimano XT Di2 11 speed drive chain ensure that this bike remain true to pedal assist and will leaving you saying ‘Did I just ride up that?’
The bike is powered by the incredible Shimano Steps system with a mighty 500wh E8010 battery! The motor itself is the Shimano DU-E8000 with features 4 modes of pedal assist power and even a walk assist function when there is no mate with a ute to shuttle you to the top again. A down tube, partially integrated battery makes removal for charging easy and seamless leaving you only thanking Merida and Shimano for being ever so considerate.
CASTING MOTORBRACKETAll E-bikes equipped with the new E-MTB group E8000 like eBIG.TRAIL, eONE-TWENTY and eONE-SIXTY as well as parts of the Bosch motor equipped range benefit from the new ‘Casting Motorbracket’. This new aluminium casted bracket allows extremely complex shapes combined with very small tolerances resulting in a more integrated look as well as improved performance of the motor.
X-TAPER HEADTUBE 2017The best of two worlds: externally shaped head tube with bigger diameter at the bottom and weight saving smaller diameter at the top. ‘X-Taper Headtubes’ always come with tapered forks or correct adapters fitted. Result: superb stiffness and precise steering even in the toughest conditions without increasing the weight of the frame unnecessarily.
12-148 THRU-AXLE ‘Boost’ 2017Due to the widening of the hub spacing by 6mm, the spoke angles become flatter resulting in a stiffer and stronger wheel. In particular on 29er and 650b+ wheels, and paired with the stiffness increasing attributes of a through axle, this is hugely desirable. Besides that, the wider hubs and cranks with wider bottom brackets push the chain line further outwards and enable extra short chain stays for a more agile geometry.
SMART ENTRY 2017Internal cable routing perfected: Up to this point, the routing of cables inside frame tubes often had the unwanted side effect that they were able to move and produce noise. Our ‘Smart Entry’ allows the cables to be clamped under tension, resulting in rattle free cables even when it is getting rough. All cable inlets are completely interchangeable to deal with any kind of set up; Di2, hydraulic hoses, brake and gear cable housings etc.
DI2 READY 2017Like WorldTour pro riders, more and more technology-loving road riders trust in Shimano’s electronic Di2 shifting system, which is characterized by high reliability and efficient, effortless operability. Bikes/frames with the symbol “Di2 Ready” are optimally prepared for the installation of this technology – especially with a battery mounting possibility below the chain stay or in the seat post.
C-S POST MOUNT DISC 2017“Chain Stay Post Mount Disc” – this technology is the result of three findings. First, a brake mount positioned within the frame triangle optimally protects the brake from external influences. Second, the caliper is supported by the chain stay and is therefore able to distribute the occurring physical forces in an ideal way. Third, internally routed cables can reach the brake neatly from the chain stay.
INTERNAL CABLE 2017Elaborately shaped frame designs with special inlets and outlets for internally routed brake and/or shifter cables. “Clean” in a double sense: The bike looks uncluttered while the cables are protected effectively from moisture and dirt.
SMOOTH-WELDING 2017Besides top functionality, MERIDA frames also have to offer a convincing visual appearance. The second welding process during Smooth Welding evens the connecting welding seam – an elaborate concept for a brilliant look without compromises to stability.
PROLITE 66 TRIPLE BUTTED ALUMINUM 2017MERIDA’s premium alloy represents extremely durable and light aluminium of high-end quality. Triple-butted wall thicknesses result not only in exciting frame designs: First of all, they offer an optimum Stiffness-to-Weight (STW) ratio.
HFS - HYDRO FORMING SYSTEM 2017The mechanical TFS process works from the outside to the inside. In contrast, the complex Hydroforming concept shapes the frame by pushing hot oil under hydraulic high pressure from the inside to the outside. Material: Prolite 66 aluminium.
