IT ALL STARTS WITH THE FRAME

We wanted the Sight VLT to not only ride like a Sight, but to look good too! As a principle in our design philosophy, we made sure that the rider and the ride quality of the Sight VLT were top of mind throughout the development process. The drive unit and battery are enveloped into the carbon frame creating a lightweight, stiff and low-profile e-mountain bike. This makes the Sight VLT one of the lightest e-mountain bikes on the market.

IT’S A SIGHT

Evolving the proven geometry of our Sight platform, the Sight VLT features modern all-mountain geometry with a longer wheelbase for increased stability at higher speed and a refined kinematic layout for exceptional traction and grip on a wide variety of terrain. A steeper seat tube angle and a more forward riding position makes the Sight VLT an outstanding climber allowing you to punch up steep and technical climbs effortlessly. Charge your favourite descents, and then climb back up and do it all again – the Sight VLT is the definition of “do it all”.

ALL THE POWER YOU NEED

Designed to withstand the extreme demands of e-mountain biking, the best-in-class Shimano STEPS E8000 drive unit and 630Wh battery will extend the fun you have while out on the trails. A smooth, stable delivery of power gives you the natural feel of riding a conventional mountain bike over every section of trail. The charging port with protective cover on the seat tube allows for easy access and quick charging, so you can be back on your bike in no time.

CLEAN INTEGRATION WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS

The Shimano display is compact and low-profile, yet allows you to easily read and access metrics like power modes, speed, battery range and additional ride information. Easily shift between Boost, Trail and Eco modes on the fly without being distracted by any clutter on your handlebars. If you are looking for a more custom power output that matches your riding style, you can individually customize the system’s Boost and Trail power-assist levels with your smartphone and Shimano’s trailside Bluetooth connection.

IT’S ALL SMOOTH SAILING FROM NOW ON

With 150mm of rear travel, the Sight VLT’s suspension kinematics are designed to deliver an active pedalling platform, excellent small bump compliance and a bottomless feel for confidence-inspiring descending when the terrain gets rowdy. A custom tuned, trunnion-mounted rear shock and 160mm e-mountain bike rated fork on all models ensure smooth and controlled handling.

NO CORNERS CUT

As with all of our bikes, we didn’t cut any corners when it comes to the carefully selected components of the Sight VLT. A SRAM single click e-mountain bike specific shifter delivers precise shifting and helps decrease component wear. Stronger wheels and e-rated hubs add stiffness and durability. We chose 165 mm cranks for better ground clearance while pedalling. This crank length also optimizes the interaction between rider and drive unit delivering an effective and consistent power output.

DETAILS MATTER

There’s no need to worry about rocks, roots and debris marking up that beautiful paint job. We’ve got you covered. Strategically positioned, replaceable frame protection on the downtube, motor and chain stays protect the frame while blending nicely into the overall frame design.
