Finally we have our hands on one of the new Lapierre electric mountain bikes. With the incredibly light and transformable Fazua Mid Drive systems this Ebike is effectively two in one. You can drop out the battery and motor not just a battery and you have yourself a normal mountain bike. Perfect if you feel like going analog for your ride or riding with friends who are non-electric. Also the only solution that allows you to fly with your bike. Think of going down to Maydena or Thredbo for the weekend where it’s affectively all downhill and you don’t really need the electric assistance. Now you have the best of both worlds. Yew!!

For over seven decades, the philosophy of Lapierre has been to design bikes for the many. And the E-zesty corresponds perfectly to this state of mind. This all-mountain bike is for those who are sceptical of electric bikes or looking for a smoother and lighter engine. You won’t even know the engine is there when you go above 25km/h and you can give free rein to your pedalling, silently and without any engine resistance. The feeling of a real All Mountain with the little extra power that will make the difference. We have a duty to offer bicycles that can be fitted to everyone’s needs. Our requirement was to offer a different product for “electro-sceptics” or people who want to switch to a softer engine. We have therefore combined the best of our know-how to create a new generation of eMTB AM. A smooth and jerk-free engine that is totally forgotten when you ride more than 25 kph, leaving the possibility of free pedalling without resistance and without noise. A promising autonomy to provide maximum pleasure. A precise bike in the driving, which allows you to position yourself correctly and easily. The eZesty is certainly heavier than a non-electric MTB in the same category, but this overweight is quickly forgotten when it comes to riding in committed singles.

Key Features

The starting point was the idea of offering you, based on our Zesty, an integrated, lightweight and potentially removable drive system to enjoy your e-Zesty to suit your mood and shape on a particular day. The basis existed already: Ultimate UD SL carbon frame, 27.5” wheels and 160 mm front/rear clearance; make no mistake, this is the soul of the Zesty AM, but boosted by the motor.

Fazua System

The Fazua system is simple: it offers you the solution of using the motor/battery pack to master ascents using its 55 Nm motor torque and 250 Wh of battery power. Alternatively, riding without it, making your e-Zesty AM 3 kg lighter to regain the feel of a normal Zesty.

Special eZesty wheels

Our Lapierre eAM+ tubeless-ready wheels are specifically designed for the performances of this hybrid e-MTB. Their 27.5” diameter, 35mm rim width and the choice of the new Maxxis High Roller II Wide Trail 2.5 tyres are suitable for All-Mountain outings.
