AVE Electric Bikes

As a company that solely makes e-bikes, AVE dedicates 100% of their research and development to the key attributes that make the difference between an e-bike that just gets you from A to B, to one that has you itching to explore C, D, E and beyond! Comfort.

It starts with a frame engineered around the e-bike drive system. Placing the motor within the frame provides a strong foundation for the entire bike – isolating you from rough surfaces and vibration. Wider rims and e-bike specific balloon tyres (50mm to 60mm widths) across the range, also place more air between you and the road.

 Ride and Handling

 Feel at home from the first pedal stroke. That’s the acid test for all of AVE e-bikes. They invest thousands of hours into testing and development, with careful consideration of frame geometries, head angles, bottom bracket heights, and RC lengths. But you’re probably not interested in these important but boring facts and figures. What you are interested in is how your e-bike rides and feels. Does it inspire confidence? Can you feel the level of engineering through the seat of your pants – from the way a bike climbs to the way it handles steep descents? When you’re riding an AVE e-bike your mind is focused on the road ahead and the bike becomes part of your subconscious – that’s the AVE goal!

 As a mode of transport e-bikes can’t afford the luxury of being highly strung race machines. Many AVE riders have clocked up enough kilometres each year on their bikes to circumnavigate the globe and rely on their e-bike as their only form of transport. Durability and performance are paramount. With high torque, hill climbing performance provided by BOSCH and Panasonic drive systems, combined with carefully selected components from market leaders in the e-bike industry, every AVE e-bike is engineered to give you peace of mind when it comes durability and reliability.

AVE is a long established German bike brand. Having first entered the Australian market in 2018 they have recently returned with some amazing new models.

AVE’s latest iteration of the TH11 carries forward all of the positive attributes of the previous models, notably strength, durability and comfort. However, in its latest guise they have focused on improving performance, and balance, to provide customers with the widest possible range of rider applications.

A 140kg frame rating is one of the highest available in any e-bike category, let alone a low entry bike. From errands to epics, the TH11 is ready for anything. The oversized reinforced down tube, and heavy duty elevated chain stays provide you with the smoothest ride possible, even over the roughest of surfaces. The BOSCH battery is set low down and deep into the frame, lowering the centre of gravity, to deliver agility, poise, and balance normally reserved for e-MTBs.

As part of the no-compromise design philosophy, all TH11 models are equipped with the most powerful BOSCH CX motor. With a real-world 75NM of torque on tap across the widest RPM range of any mid-drive motor available you’ll have the confidence to tackle the steepest terrain with ease, even when fully loaded.

The SUV of e-bikes
The TH11 can be equipped with an optional parallel suspension seat post. With 50mm of suspension travel, it’s the closest thing to a full suspension e-bike without the drawback of the additional weight and maintenance penalties. This additional comfort is carried forward into your choice of saddles. With Selle RoyalTM as the saddle partner, AVE have selected their ScientiaTM range, as the best balance between confort and performance.

The e-Bike specific Suntour front suspension has wider 34mm lower arms for increased strength and improved braking performance.

The 15mm through axle improves safety and steering accuracy while 50mm Schwalbe Big Ben Plus balloon tyres are ECE-R75 certification for fast e-bikes (50KPH), with a tread pattern suited to both road and light trail use.

Integrated lighting as standard fitment across the range.
